Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant for The Arbors of Shelburne, Vermont. Join our team and help implement activity programs that cater to the needs of our residents. Full and part-time positions are available with hours varying from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including weekends.

The role involves developing engaging activities and supporting the Activity Director. Important qualifications include a high school diploma and knowledge of Alzheimer’s. Comprehensive benefits are offered, including paid training and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Must possess training and knowledge in recreational activities.
• Shows a consistent ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an engaging seven-day-a-week activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities.
• Encourage residents to participate in programming.

Skills

Knowledge of aging and disability issues

Recreational activity training

Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
