Country Meadows Retirement Communities is hiring an Activities Coordinator in Bethlehem, PA to create engaging experiences for residents in memory care and personal care settings. The role offers a daytime schedule with some alternating shifts and a pay range starting at $19.00–$21.00 per hour, with opportunities to earn more based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in retirement living is preferred.
• Leadership style should be energetic, personable, positive, enthusiastic, creative and imaginative.
• Ability to communicate intentions and directions to residents and co-workers; active listening is key.
• Strong motivational skills to positively influence resident participation.
• Valid driver's license with no major violations in the past three years.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences for residents.
• Drive residents' interest in a dynamic lifestyle to promote pride and purpose.
• Go with residents to theaters, museums, sporting events, restaurants, special destinations and more.
• Coordinate with the Activities Coordinator/Associate to plan on- and offsite events.
• Guide volunteers to create meaningful impact.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic environment to motivate engagement.
• Invite residents to memory support meetings and activities.
• Plan and facilitate daily memory care activities and cognitive exercises.
• Maintain documentation of resident participation in programs.
