Job summary

Topgolf Payroll Services seeks an Engineering Manager for Memberships to lead a full-stack team building and operating guest-facing Memberships experiences and backend services.

You will own people, process, and delivery, guiding architecture, design decisions, and tech debt balance across Go, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL, while partnering with product and QA to deliver a scalable, observable system.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack breadth across backend and frontend.
• 2+ years directly managing software engineers, including hiring and career development.
• 3+ years building backend services in Go.
• 2+ years building frontend applications with Vue.js.
• 2+ years working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• 1+ year experience with AI-assisted software development practices and tooling.
• 1+ year experience in Memberships, subscription, or loyalty systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and manage a team of full-stack engineers for Memberships systems, including hiring and mentorship.
• Set goals, run 1:1s, and foster ownership and accountability.
• Balance workload and staffing across Memberships initiatives; address gaps early.
• Guide architecture across Memberships systems spanning Go, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, and API design.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, and release processes; participate in code reviews.
• Own end-to-end delivery of the Memberships roadmap, from planning to post-launch monitoring.
• Partner with product, design, QA, and platform engineering to translate needs into a prioritized roadmap.
• Represent the team in cross-functional planning and communicate risks and tradeoffs.
