Job summary

Topgolf is seeking a Software Engineer to power the technology behind the guest experience, building backend services in Go and front-end applications in Vue.js that support our venues and digital products.

This role works across the stack, from writing clear specs through API design and user interface implementation, using AI-assisted development practices to deliver reliable, well-tested features as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years building backend services in Go.
• 2+ years building frontend applications with Vue.js.
• 1+ years working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
• Build responsive features and components using Vue.js.
• Define and implement API contracts between frontend and backend services.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineers to uphold engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to logging, monitoring, and alerting practices.
• Practice spec-driven development, writing clear technical specs and design docs before coding.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation, testing, and code review while maintaining quality.
