Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis is seeking a part-time Membership and Contact Center Assistant to welcome guests and help plan visits. You will share visitor and membership information, process ticket sales and memberships, and respond to questions by phone, email, and in person at the Visitor Center.

The role runs 24 hours per week, including some weekends and evenings, with emphasis on accurate data entry and friendly service in Tessitura and Freshdesk environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a museum, box office, customer service, retail, or fundraising setting.
• Proficient experience with a point-of-sale/ticketing system or CRM; Tessitura or Freshdesk is a plus.
• Scheduling flexibility to routinely work weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; positive, energetic demeanor.
• Ability to compose clear, professional written responses to member and visitor emails.
• Must have basic computer literacy and adapt to learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and visitors; provide up-to-date information on grounds, amenities, classes, and events via phone, email, or in person.
• Resolve guest issues calmly and escalate as needed.
• Process ticketing and membership transactions and update records in the Tessitura CRM.
• Promote memberships, upsell benefits, and help meet revenue goals.
• Handle administrative tasks at the Contact Center and Visitor Center.
• Support events at membership sales stations during festivals and special events.
