Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis is seeking a Facility Support Attendant for the 2nd shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm). You will be the face of the Garden, assisting visitors and staff, performing housekeeping tasks, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, willingness to learn procedures, and flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Garden membership and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Be willing to learn new procedures.
• Present a professional attitude at all times under the scrutiny of the general public.
• Meet productivity standards.
• Ability to read instructions and to understand the label on cleaning products.
• Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 30–60 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times.
• Ensure that all recycled, compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers.
• Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned.
