Job summary

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking a detail‑oriented administrator to support the Chief Membership Officer and the Membership Department. You will help expand and improve the membership program, manage calendars and project workflows, and handle confidential information with discretion.

This is a fully onsite role requiring five days in the office, with duties including budget support, procurement liaison, and collaboration with staff, vendors, and members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years administrative office, business, or related experience.
• Experience with museums or cultural organizations preferred.
• This is an onsite position working five days a week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Membership Officer (CMO) and expand the membership program.
• Manage the CMO’s calendar and prepare agendas, bios, timelines for meetings.
• Oversee confidential information and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Utilize Tessitura CRM to access member information and create bios.
• Assist with budget processes and procurement for the Membership Department.
