The leading trade association for the commercial construction industry in Virginia is hiring aMembership & Outreach Managerto develop and execute a strategic growth plan in Northern Virginia and continue supporting members in the Shenandoah Valley area. This role focuses on connecting with general contractors, subcontractors, and industry partners through personalized outreach, signature events, and member engagement activities. If you thrive on building relationships, love networking, and want to make a tangible impact in the construction industry, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage key commercial construction contractors in the NOVA region.
  • Conduct personalized outreach through site visits, calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
  • Attend industry events and expos to represent the organization, build new relationships, and increase brand awareness in the construction industry.

Member Engagement & Retention

  • Plan and execute impactful meetings and events to engage existing members and attract new members in both NOVA and the Shenandoah Valley.
  • Reinforce the association’s value in advocacy, business growth, and networking through all communications channels including social media, primarily LinkedIn.
  • Deliver meaningful, consistent engagement opportunities for existing and prospective members.
  • Track outreach efforts, event success, and membership growth using technology tools.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to organization leadership.
  • Help shape ongoing strategy based on feedback, trends, and results.

  • Have experience in business development, membership management, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Be highly organized and skilled at event planning and execution.
  • Be a confident communicator, online and in person.
  • Know how to build trust and relationships in a business-first culture.
  • Travel locally throughout NOVA, the Shenandoah Valley, and thrive in a hybrid/field role.
  • Have knowledge of or a network in the construction industry (a plus).

Schedule:
