Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Membership Sales position in our Illinois clubs. You will drive sign-ups, renewals, and cross-sell loyalty programs while delivering excellent member service at the first point of contact.

We value teamwork, speed, and accurate fulfillment of member requests. The role emphasizes maintaining a welcoming, safe, and upbeat environment and meeting performance targets in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Prior front line/customer service or previous sales experience preferred.
• Results driven with proven success in goal achievement.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Computer proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the BJ’s value proposition regarding acquisition, retention, perks, and the Member experience.
• Converts potential members by actively and effectively pitching all membership programs in accordance with company policies and practices.
• Sells BJ’s membership products to potential new and existing members with high energy and determination.
• Drives toward goal achievement, defined by business benchmarks and results.
• Delivers superior customer service to Members by serving as a first line point-of-contact for membership and related inquiries.
• Follows tax exempt/resale membership policies regarding retention processes and renewals.
• Resolves Member concerns in a courteous and timely manner; escalates when necessary.
• Assists with BOPIC orders for members and maintains club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
