Job summary

A regional economic development organization in Freeport is seeking a Membership Director to lead membership strategy, emphasizing retention and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in membership management and business development, complemented by excellent communication skills. This role involves managing member relationships, developing programs, and contributing to a collaborative environment. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in membership management, sales, or business development.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Education in business, marketing, finance or entrepreneurship preferred.
• Experience with volunteer coordination, small business support is a plus.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and marketing tools required.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to grow membership across all tiers.
• Cultivate relationships with members to deliver value.
• Lead outreach efforts to recruit new members.
• Monitor and report on membership metrics.
• Serve as the primary contact for member services.
• Organize member events, networking, and educational programs.
• Identify opportunities for member resources and growth initiatives.
• Engage and manage volunteer Partnership Ambassadors.
