Job summary

The Adler Planetarium seeks a detail-oriented Membership Coordinator to launch and manage its membership program on Chicago's Museum Campus. You will drive acquisition, retention, and revenue while maintaining CRM integrity and delivering exceptional member stewardship.

This externally facing role emphasizes service, data accuracy, and collaboration with Development, Marketing, and Guest Services to align membership benefits with institutional programs and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or at least five years of professional work experience.
• 1–3 years of membership, development, nonprofit administration, or customer service experience.
• 1–3 years working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and strong data management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer membership program operations and ensure accurate processing of memberships, renewals, and payments.
• Serve as primary point of contact for member inquiries and deliver high-quality service.
• Plan and execute renewal and re-engagement strategies to meet revenue goals.
• Collaborate across teams on campaigns, events, and donor engagement opportunities.
• Train staff on membership benefits, processes, and CRM usage.
