Job summary

The Commercial Club of Chicago seeks an Assistant Director, Membership to support membership growth, retention, and engagement for the Civic Committee and Commercial Club. This role, reporting to the Director for Membership and Events, focuses on managing membership data in Salesforce, communications, and prospect recruitment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using Salesforce and Microsoft 365 tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years in nonprofit/association setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of data management and reporting in Salesforce.
Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary contact for members, delivering exceptional service.
Support member acquisition and renewal through briefing materials and follow-ups.
Track nominations and maintain records throughout review process.
Cultivate relationships with members and executive assistants.
Prepare membership communications (welcome letters, invoices, surveys).
Manage day-to-day membership data and Salesforce records.
Generate reports and dashboards to monitor engagement and retention.
Coordinate quarterly Membership Committee meetings.
Assist in preparing meeting materials and minutes.
Oversee onsite event support for luncheons and dinners.
