Job summary

Brookgreen Gardens seeks a Manager of Membership and Annual Giving to lead our membership and annual giving programs, growing revenue and deepening donor relationships. You will manage events, communications, volunteers, and CRM data, while developing strategies to convert visitors into members and members into donors.

The role sits within the Development team, driving acquisition and retention, supervising the Membership Ambassador Program, and coordinating cross-functional fundraising

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in membership, fundraising, or related fields.
• Ability to analyze data to drive engagement and revenue decisions.
• Proficiency with donor databases and CRM systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend hours for events.

Responsibilities

• Grow membership and annual giving programs and deepen donor engagement.
• Envision and execute multi-channel acquisition and renewal campaigns; develop content for materials and Brookgreen publications.
• Plan and execute member events and engagement opportunities.
• Oversee the Membership Ambassador Program; recruit and train volunteers and staff.
• Manage data for reporting and campaign analysis with accurate coding and data conversion.
• Develop procedures for daily operations of the membership program and oversee the CRM.
• Lead annual Volunteer and Employee Membership Campaigns and gift memberships.
• Serve as the primary contact for membership inquiries and ensure excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with leadership on department budget and growth strategies.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
