The Member & Viewer ServicesAssociate position is a customer focused liaison that interacts andcorresponds directly with viewers and supporters for PBS NC. Theintegral existence of this position functions to (1) assist, research,maintain, comprehend the various system structures, and apply them toassist with donors and supporters accurately and efficiently (2) serveas customer service representatives by interacting with contributorsthrough communications primarily via phone, but also via email and mailas needed. This position is the primary liaison with our viewing andsupporting community throughout North Carolina. Furthermore, thisposition's performance has short and long-range implications in PBS NC'sability to prospect, solicit and raise almost $15 million annually.
Strongknowledge of the inner workings within PBS NC and the usage of best practicescollectively with strong public relations and customer service skills topromote PBS NC are vital to this position.
This position is a hybrid work arrangement and will work three days per week onsite at the Bryan Center (PBSNC) in Research Triangle Park, NC.UNC System employees are generally required to reside in NorthCarolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned dutystation.

The PBS North Carolina Development Division is to expand and diversifyrevenue sources to drive sustainable growth for the organization. Thedivision accomplishes this by generating solicitations and campaignsbased in both emotion and intelligence, heart and data.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge-Extensive knowledge of fundraising processes and organization operations related to correctly administering contribution activities. These include credit card and ACH gift processing, member benefit information, programming, or station related events.Office Technology-Proficient in Microsoft Office, previous experience interfacing within a donor database system related to fundraising or customer service.Communication Skilled-Proficient in communicating ideas in concise and organized manner. Ability to interpret programs, policies, and procedures to meet the specific requirement of donors. Attentive to details to assist with solution-based applications working within Customer Relation Management tool. Anticipates and can provide clarification to ensure that team members are furthering PBS mission with clear information. Provides excellent customer service by providing courteous and knowledge-based experience within the role.Productivity-Proficiency in providing quality, productive work efficiently and timely to service the supporter
Customer service skills with returning customers or supporters. Prior database experience while interfacing with donors or customers.
