Job summary

East Texas Professional Credit Union is seeking a Teller to handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related cash-handling duties. The role requires accuracy, a professional appearance, and strong math and typing skills. You will balance daily transactions and help maintain member privacy.

The Teller will assist members in person and by mail, process transfers, and actively cross-sell Credit Union services in a courteous, professional manner.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
• At least six months cash handling experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
• Good typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person and through the mail, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.
• Balance each day's transactions and verify cash totals.
• Actively cross-sell Credit Union services.
• Disburse cash or check share withdrawals; process transfers.
• Verify transactions and resolve discrepancies; monitor deposit amounts.
• Maintain privacy of member account information and professional demeanor.
