Job summary

Downey Federal Credit Union is hiring a Member Service Representative - Universal Associate 3 in Lynwood/Bell-Branch. The role focuses on serving members in-branch and via call center, providing account information, and handling a range of file maintenance and monetary transactions.

Interviewing members to determine needs and offer appropriate products, opening memberships, and assisting with consumer loan applications are key tasks. Strong Spanish and English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to be bonded.
• Experience in banking or credit union environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform as an in-branch Universal Associate or Contact Center Representative as needed.
• UA3 may cover different branches within the credit union.
• Respond to members’ inquiries using all access channels offered by the credit union.
• Open new memberships and accounts; obtain required documentation and scan copies as needed.
• Assist members in loan applications; analyze credit reports to identify opportunities and concerns.
• Explain loan terms, obtain signatures, and disburse loan proceeds per approval.
