Job summary

Beacon Credit Union in Indiana seeks a friendly teller to provide excellent member service while processing financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account information updates. You will work with members face-to-face in our branch, ensuring accuracy and security in every transaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, cross-selling Beacon products, and helping members choose solutions that fit their needs.

Qualifications

• One to twelve months prior cashing handling and customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or HSE/GED required.
• Strong cash handling and member service skills; detail oriented and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes deposits by cash or check in person, by mail, or night depository.
• Disburses withdrawals and processes loan payments, IRA or HSA contributions.
• Answers basic questions and refers complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Welcomes members, identifies cross-sell opportunities, and directs to relevant departments.
• Maintains accurate account information on the core system and performs file updates.
