Job summary

Beacon Credit Union - Indiana is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Member Service Representative to assist members with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account information while delivering top‑notch service at our Indiana locations. This role may periodically travel to Mitchell, Orleans and Seymour locations to provide coverage as needed.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday with some Saturday shifts, and Beacon offers health and retirement benefits, tuition assistance and performance

Qualifications

• One to twelve months prior cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent cash handling and member service skills (outgoing).
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Basic knowledge of personal computer operations and related software programs.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to cross-sell Beacon products and services according to member needs.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes deposits by cash or check in person, by night depository, or by mail.
• Disburses share withdrawals by cash or check and processes coin.
• Receives and processes loan payments and IRA or HSA contributions; processes Visa payments and cash advances.
• Sells money orders and cashier's checks to members and balances cash drawer.
• May open, close and maintain consumer checking and savings accounts, CDs, IRA's and HSAs.
• Responds to members' basic questions concerning their accounts and refers complex issues to the appropriate staff.
