Job summary

HRCU is seeking a Member Service Representative in New Hampshire to provide exemplary member service. Responsibilities include opening accounts, processing transactions, and assisting with loan applications while guiding members through product options.

The role requires at least one year of banking or financial service experience, a high school diploma, and strong communication. Weekend rotation and a focus on accuracy are integral to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year sales and/or service experience in a financial institution.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in multiple software programs; developed written and communication skills; team-player with ability to work independently; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Interviews members to obtain information and explain financial products and services.
• Opens accounts and performs file maintenance with proper documentation.
• Assists with deposit verification, filing and sorting duties.
• Originates loan applications and forwards documents for processing.
• Acts as liaison between members and departments to resolve concerns.
• May provide teller duties, handling cash and payments.
• May be responsible for branch opening/closing and lead roles in emergencies.

This is a full-time position with Saturday rotation (out by 12:30 pm).

A Member Service Representative provides account information, opens accounts, originates loan applications, conducts transactions, and recommends additional products and services with exceptional member service. Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

• Interviews members to obtain information and explain available financial products and services, such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Business and Non-profit accounts.
• Opens accounts and performs necessary file maintenance ensuring proper documentation and procedures are followed.
• Assists with various administrative duties such as but not limited to deposit verification, filing and collating.
• Originates loan applications, forwards documents for processing, closes loans.
• Acts as liaison between members and various departments reporting member concerns, problem solves, and provide a satisfactory resolution within procedures and policies.
• May provide teller duties such as receives cash and checks for deposit and loan payments.
• May be responsible for branch opening and or closing. May assume a leadership role in the event of an emergency.

Requirements

Prior banking experience required.

• Experience: Minimum of one-year sales and/or service experience in a financial institution.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal: This position requires that the individual be able to present in an appropriate manner maintaining courteous and effective interactions and communications.
• Other skills required: Proficiency in multiple software programs; Possess developed written and communication skills for accuracy and clarity; Team-player with the ability to work independently; Organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail; and Proactive approaches to problem-solving.
