Job summary

Bridge Credit Union is hiring to join our team as a teller/member services representative. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, and related transactions for members in person and by phone or electronically.

Successful candidates will balance daily totals, assist members with account inquiries, and promote Credit Union services, while maintaining a professional appearance and excellent customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Good math skills.
• Data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person, via phone, electronically, and through the mail.
• Balance each day's transactions and verify cash totals.
• Open and close accounts, renew certificates, and assist members with inquiries and problems.
• Cross-sell Credit Union services and assist other staff as required.
• Act as a daily vault teller when needed.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Required knowledge

Cash handling experience preferred.

Good communication skills. Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.

Good math skills. The ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone. Data entry skills

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday : 9 am - 4:30 pm
Friday : 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday : 9 am - 1 pm

Job Description

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person, via phone, electronically, and through the mail, including but not limited to processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Performs a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates, and assisting members with account inquiries and problems. Answers members' questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells Credit Union services. Performs specific assigned duties and assists other Member Services Representatives/Specialist with duties as required. Serves members promptly and professionally. Acts as a daily vault teller, when needed.
