Job summary

Central One Federal Credit Union is seeking a customer service focused associate to assist members with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan servicing. You will handle opening and servicing of deposit accounts and consumer loan products while referring to specialists as needed.

Additionally, you will support mortgages, IRAs, and business deposits, balance cash and ATMs, and promote CO-OP/CUSO services. A strong emphasis on cross-selling and world-class service is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma.
• Experience: 1–3 years in customer service or loan department of a credit union or financial institution.
• Skills: Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; cross-sell and interact professionally face-to-face, by phone or electronically.
• Traits: Ethical, self-motivated, empathetic, trustworthy, accurate, confident and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with account transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments) and service deposit accounts and consumer loan products.
• Assist in opening/servicing Mortgages, IRAs and Business deposits or lending products; refer to management or specialists as needed.
• Balance cash drawer, vault, monetary instrument inventory, Cash Recycler and ATM; close day activities.
• Promote and support all Central One and CUSO services; cross-sell programs during each interaction.
• Conduct consumer loan interviews, input data accurately, determine collateral needs and underwriting considerations.
• Review credit reports and underwriting factors to define loan conditions for conforming consumer loans.
• Develop Mortgage knowledge and assist as a Mortgage Loan Originator as defined by the SAFE Act.
