Job summary

Martin's Point Health Care is hiring a Front Desk Coordinator in Maine. You will manage a high-volume switchboard, greet visitors, and route calls to the correct departments while delivering excellent member and potential member service.

The role includes helping with appointment scheduling, data entry, and coordinating with health plan teams using the E-HR system. A professional, confidential approach and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in an administrative and/or customer service position.
• 1-2 years in customer/member services in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures reception area and switchboard are open and ready to accept visitors and take calls during business hours.
• Maintains switchboard equipment; answer all calls within two rings in a courteous, professional and friendly manner; supply information or redirect as needed.
• Assists call-center staff by coordinating appointment scheduling accurately and efficiently, and relaying messages using the E-HR software.
• Redirects urgent calls to appropriate clinical staff.
• Supports Health Plan departments with general data entry, printing/mailing, scanning, faxing, returned mail, and roster management.
• Participates in Process Improvements and other duties as assigned.
• Delivers service in a courteous, friendly and professional manner to internal and external customers.
