Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
• Certifications required within 30 days: CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members, volunteers, and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Answer the telephone, provide information, direct calls, and take messages.
• Provide membership interviews and facility tours; explain YMCA programs and financial assistance.
• Process new member IDs, guest passes, and program registrations.
• Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of service desk areas and respond to emergencies.
