Job summary

FAIRWINDS Credit Union in Sanford, FL is seeking a Member Service Specialist (Universal Banker) to be the first point of contact for members at the Downtown Sanford branch. You’ll open accounts, assess needs, and connect members with the right products and services to help them live financially free.

You’ll balance transactional duties with consultative guidance, generate loan opportunities, and promote self-service tools while upholding security and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in a member-facing role.
• Previous banking and lending experience required.
• Strong knowledge of FAIRWINDS products, services, and digital platforms.
• Ability to balance transactional and consultative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to resource for members by handling teller and platform transactions accurately.
• Open new accounts and recommend products based on members' financial needs.
• Build trust through consultative conversations that lead to long-term financial success for members.
• Refer deposit accounts, loans, investments, and insurance products and digital tools.
• Generate loan opportunities through inbound, outbound, and referrals.
• Provide prompt support for account maintenance and service-related needs.
• Promote online banking, mobile apps, and ATMs to members.
• Support branch operations including opening/closing and item custody.
• Maintain compliance with policies and security protocols.
