Job summary

YMCA of Central New Mexico is seeking a Part-time Member Service Representative to deliver friendly customer service and build member relationships at the Albuquerque facility.

The role involves greeting members, answering questions about memberships and programs, processing transactions and assisting with tours and onboarding of new members. A positive attitude and attention to detail are essential, with morning, evening or weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
• Ability to actively listen.
• The staff needs to be able to handle multiple tasks under limited supervision, work well in a team setting and detailed oriented.
• Experience with and knowledge of computers.
• Possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Have cash handling skills and the ability to reconcile shift transactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform excellent customer service and greet all members and guests.
• Engage with members to understand goals and interests and ensure a positive experience.
• Answer phones and provide accurate information about memberships and programs.
• Register memberships and programs, process payments and verify information.
• Balance end-of-shift transactions and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and safe YMCA facility and assist with trainings.
