Job summary

Auburn YMCA-WEIU is seeking a Member Services Clerk to operate the Member Services desk under the direction of the Membership Director. You will greet members, process memberships and day passes, and provide prompt assistance at the front desk.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a professional manner, and the ability to work nights and weekends. You may represent the YMCA at events, handle cash and payments using Members Only software, and support clerical tasks to keep the desk

Qualifications

• Must be available to work nights and weekends with flexible availability.
• Willing to work offsite at events and have own transportation.
• Able to represent the YMCA in a professional and positive manner.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Represents the organization at external marketing and promotional events when needed.
• Control facility entrance by effectively controlling building access by checking memberships and processing day passes.
• Interprets YMCA membership categories, payment plans, privileges and policies to members, guests and the general public.
• Sells memberships and program registrations to members and the general public.
• Processes membership and program payments using Members Only software.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with members, program participants and co-workers.
• Assists with miscellaneous clerical functions.
• Answers incoming calls and relays to appropriate parties.
• Reconciles cash on hand with transaction batch.
• Maintains Member Services Desk, area and supplies.
• All other duties as assigned.
