Job summary

The Auburn YMCA -WEIU is seeking a compassionate Member Services Clerk to operate the Member Services desk under the direction of the Membership Director.

Key duties include assisting members, selling memberships and program registrations, processing payments with Members Only software, and maintaining a welcoming desk. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required and on-site presence is expected.

Responsibilities

• Represents the organization at external marketing and promotional events when needed.
• Control facility entrance by effectively controlling building access by checking memberships and processing day passes.
• Interprets YMCA membership categories, payment plans, privileges and policies to members, guests and the general public. Responds to member concerns and directs them appropriately.
• Sells memberships and program registrations to members and the general public.
• Processes membership and program payments accordingly using Members Only software.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with members, program participants and co-workers.
• Assists with miscellaneous clerical functions
• Answers incoming calls and relays to appropriate parties.
• Reconciles cash on hand with transaction batch.
• Maintains Member Services Desk, area and supplies.
• All other duties as assigned.
