Job description

The Member Relations Associate is an entry level leadership role essential in providing enhanced member service, prospective member tours and general fitness guidance while promoting an energetic happy environment to work out in. This position is key to creating an enjoyable and welcoming experience for our members at the Jewish Community Center’s Health, Fitness and Recreation facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The Member Relations Associate will act as manager on duty a minimum of 3 nights per week and weekends.
• Act as the primary point of contact for membership inquiries while on duty, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Responsible for all prospective member tours while on duty.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the facilities.
• Assign cleaning tasks to floor staff during slower times to ensure the gym is clean and organized.
• Assist in new member fitness orientations as assigned.
• Proficient in our Member Relations Management software, Accrisoft.
• Provide first aid and respond to emergencies when needed.
• Your time here at work should exemplify enthusiasm and energy! Please keep in mind your first priority during your shift is the safety and comfort of the members and guests of the JCC. Your second priority is to interact and be approachable with the members and guests of the JCC.
• Attend both on-site and off-site agency events.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

• Bachelor’s Degree – preferred.
• Experience in customer service management and delivery. Must demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to be a visible and active team player in a customer service environment.
