Position Title: Member Services Associate

Location: Chelsea Wellness Center

Type: Part Time

Summary

We improve life and serve the community by enhancing health and wellness. Power Wellness collaborates with hospitals, healthcare systems, universities, and community colleges, offering comprehensive services to develop and manage customized fitness and wellness centers.

The Member Services Associate provides exceptional customer service to members, guests, and prospects, handling membership information, enrollment, and retention efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage interactions at the service desk, including opening/closing, answering phones, processing transactions, guest registration, and providing information about activities and events.
  • Promote and sell memberships and ancillary services such as personal training, massage therapy, medically-integrated programs, and nutrition services.
  • Schedule appointments using core software (Compete), send reminders, handle cancellations, and communicate with staff.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures, balance cash drawers, and adhere to payment policies.
  • Enroll members, explain membership options, secure signatures, and distribute member handbooks.
  • Communicate effectively with departments via radio as needed.
  • Strive to meet satisfaction metrics like Secret Shops and Member Surveys.
  • Maintain an average of 5 shifts per month and be able to stand for 3-6 hours per shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certification from college or technical school preferred.
  • At least 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
  • 2-3 years of sales, reception, and computer skills preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism.
  • Proficient computer skills.
