Description

Under the guidance of the Member Services Director, the Member Service Associate is responsible for providing outstanding service to everyone who enters the Y.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good communication and human relation skills.
• Flexible, enthusiastic, a team player, and able to problem solve.

Must be available Friday nights from 6-10:30pm and alternating Sundays (hours may vary)

Principal Job Requirements:

• Greet members and guests entering the facility; say goodbye to those leaving.
• Maintain a professional attitude with coworkers and staff.
• Familiarity with facility schedules, events, and classes.
• Process transactions related to memberships, program registrations, and sales.
• Give promotional tours of the YMCA.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Keep the front desk and Welcome Center neat and clean.

Qualifications

• Good communication and human relation skills.
• Flexible, pleasant, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate and implement YMCA policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing.
