Job summary

YMCA of the Northern Sky is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Associate in Fargo, ND. The role focuses on welcoming members, handling memberships, and delivering friendly, responsive front-desk service at our Fercho and Schlossman branches.

You will operate membership software, assist with registrations, and answer questions about programs, facilities, and schedules while upholding YMCA policies and promoting services.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Prefer at least six months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and participants in person and over the phone.
• Create a high-level member experience through friendly engagement, active listening, and genuine connections.
• Welcome members and guests and represent the YMCA positively at all times.
• Operate membership software and office equipment to support daily operations.
• Scan membership cards and assist with check-in and front-desk needs.
• Assist with memberships, changes, registrations, and the sale of programs and services.
• Provide tours and information to prospective members and explain benefits.
• Answer questions about programs, schedules, facilities, and services.
• Consistently enforce YMCA policies and procedures.
• Address member concerns and escalate to the appropriate team when needed.
• Promote YMCA programs, events, and membership opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Member Services area.
• Restock towels and related supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other YMCA staff to support an excellent overall experience.

Description

As aMember Services Associate, you will be an essential part of the Member Services Team and the welcoming face of the YMCA at our Fercho and Schlossman branches. You will help create an excellent experience for members, guests, participants, and staff by providing friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive customer service at the front desk and over the phone.

This position plays an important role in the overall operation of the YMCA. You will assist with memberships and program registrations, answer questions, promote YMCA programs and services, provide tours to prospective members, and help address member needs and concerns. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with the people who walk through our doors and become an active part of the YMCA community.

Member Services Associate:

• Provide tours and information to prospective members and help them understand the benefits and opportunities available at the YMCA.
• Answer questions about YMCA programs, activities, schedules, facilities, and services.
• Understand and consistently enforce all applicable YMCA policies and procedures.
• Assist in handling and resolving member, guest, and participant concerns, referring unusual situations or unresolved issues to the appropriate team member or manager.
• Promote YMCA programs, services, events, and membership opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Member Services area.
• Maintain and restock towels at Member Services.
• Work collaboratively with other YMCA staff and departments to support an excellent overall experience.

Summary

Shifts Needed: Early afternoon, evenings, and weekends available!
