Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in California is seeking a Member Service Specialist II. This non-exempt role reports to the Associate Branch Manager in the Jackson Branch and involves handling deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other transactions while delivering trusted financial guidance to members.

You will identify members’ needs, promote Golden 1 products, and document activities in EnAct. The position emphasizes service, accuracy, and fraud prevention within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of prior experience in a cash handling service oriented role.
• 6+ months as a MSS I or teller at Golden 1 or another financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and audits financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and general ledger entries while maintaining a cash drawer.
• Provides Golden 1 services to member including cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers and debit card issuance.
• Assesses members’ needs while processing transactions.
• Identifies opportunities to help members relative to Golden 1 products or services and documents in EnAct system.
• Identifies and reports fraudulent activity to management and Financial Investigations dept., per procedures.
• Assists in operation of ATM and Teller Cash Dispenser Units; replaces receipt cartridges and clears blockages.
• Mentors MSSIs and assists MSS III with open/close responsibilities.
