Job summary

Self-Help seeks a Member Service Representative to deliver excellent member service while processing transactions, promoting products, and resolving account issues. You will handle cash, open new accounts, and maintain strict security and accuracy in daily operations.

The role requires high school completion, strong communication, and cash handling experience, with flexibility for evenings and weekends; Spanish language ability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in financial institution or customer service preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conversations to identify and assess member needs.
• Maintain and enhance member account relationships by providing excellent member service.
• Process share deposits, loan payments, manual payrolls, and account transfers.
• Disburse cash and check withdrawals.
• Open new membership accounts and assess for accuracy and compliance.
• Promote credit union products and services.
• Observe all security/internal controls and protect the credit union from fraudulent activity.
• Back up MSR II responsibilities when needed.
