Job summary

Island Federal is seeking a Member Service Representative/Float to assist members with accounts and services, cross-sell credit union products, and process loan applications. The role requires strong communication and prior teller experience, with opportunities to work across Nassau and Suffolk locations.

The position emphasizes accuracy, member service, and knowledge of electronic services, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Experience in sales or client-facing roles.
• Prior Teller experience is essential for daily transactions.
• NMLS registration must be completed within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate member accounts and services to cross-sell credit union products.
• Process and document loan applications using XP2 and required paperwork.
• Open and maintain membership accounts and services.
• Handle stop payments, wire transfers, statements, and card orders.
• Answer member inquiries by phone or mail about products and fees.
• Interact with members to resolve inquiries, issues, and complaints.
• Perform non-monetary transactions such as deposits and loan payments.
• Explain and promote electronic services to members.
