Member Service Representatives will do the following:
- Promote and sell memberships and services
- Learn to give quality tours according to the goals and interests of our members
- Scan member cards and greet them by name
- Build relationships and retain members
- Answer member questions in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner
- Attend paid trainings and meetings, and learn new skills
- Work with a team to make a lasting difference in your community
- Light cleaning, washing/folding towels, collecting dirty towels, making coffee, stocking cups and creamer, and making our members feel valued and appreciated
- Other duties as applicable to create a meaningful member experience
Schedule will be approximately 10 to 29 hours per week, depending on the needs of the branch, and is subject to change each week.
Requirements
As a Member Services Representative, you’ll be the face of the YMCA, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for members of all backgrounds and abilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting and sellingmemberships as well as other YMCA programs (e.g., swim lessons, youth sports, personal training, etc.)
- Being knowledgeable about program offerings and proactively looking up accurate information online or through internal systems when needed
- Giving quality tours tailored to the interests of prospective members
- Greeting members by name and scanning members in
- Building relationships and helping retain members
- Providing prompt, friendly, and professional service
- Multitasking in a fast-paced environment while managing front desk responsibilities
- Participating in paid trainings and team meetings
- Performing light cleaning duties and helping with hospitality tasks (e.g., making coffee, folding towels, stocking supplies)
- Supporting your team to create a positive and engaging environment
Schedule
The T. Boone Pickens Y branch is open Mon - Fri, 5:30 am - 8:00 pm, Sat, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Sun, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
We are seeking candidates with late afternoon/closing/weekend availability.
Summary
