Job summary

FAIRWINDS Credit Union in MetroWest, FL seeks a Member Service Specialist to be the first point of contact for members, handling teller and platform transactions accurately while guiding customers toward the right banking solutions.

You will open new accounts, promote deposit accounts, loans, investments, and digital tools; build trust through consultative conversations and proactively generate loan opportunities, all within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced in consumer lending.
• Guide members through options in personal loans, credit products, and financial solutions tailored to their goal.
• Demonstrated success in a member-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of FAIRWINDS products, services, and digital platforms.
• Lead with care and listen to members’ needs.
• Cross-sell, handle objections, and educate members.
• Proven track record of achieving branch goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Adapt quickly and take initiative to serve where you’re most needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to resource for members by handling teller and platform transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Open new accounts and recommend relevant products and services based on members’ unique financial needs.
• Build trust and deepen relationships through consultative conversations that lead to long-term financial success for our members.
• Proactively refer solutions including deposit accounts, loans, investment and insurance products, and digital banking tools.
• Actively generate loan opportunities through inbound, outbound, and referral-based efforts.
• Deliver prompt support for service-related needs such as account maintenance and problem resolution.
• Promote and educate members on self-service tools including online banking, mobile apps, and ATMs.
• Serve as a keyholder when needed and support operational procedures including branch opening/closing and negotiable item custody.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and security protocols while supporting the branch team in achieving goals.
