Job summary

FAIRWINDS Credit Union is seeking a Member Services Manager at our MetroWest branch. You will lead a frontline team of MSRs, ensuring exceptional member service and smooth operations in daily branch activity.

You will serve as Manager on Duty when needed, coach staff, and drive cross-selling of FAIRWINDS products while safeguarding assets and maintaining compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a financial institution (branch level).
• Strong knowledge of teller operations, branch procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Motivator and mentor, able to develop others and create a high-performing team.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy, integrity, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead teller line functions: scheduling, performance monitoring, training.
• Act as Manager on Duty in absence of Branch/Asst Branch Manager; handle opening/closing and balancing.
• Oversee daily teller operations; serve as primary contact for inquiries.
• Apply cross-selling and relationship-building strategies to recommend FAIRWINDS products and services.
• Serve as custodian of assets; perform internal control procedures and ATM duties.
• Assist members with account inquiries, service needs, and transactions.
• Process teller transactions; manage cash drawer; handle money orders, checks, savings bonds, and safe deposit boxes.
• Live and model The FAIRWINDS Way values in all actions.

Your Role in Our Mission:

Serve as the team lead for all teller line functions, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and on-the-job training

Act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Branch or Assistant Branch Manager, handling opening/closing responsibilities and end-of-day balancing

Oversee daily operations of the teller line and serve as the first point of contact for operational inquiries

Execute coaching and development activities to help team members meet or exceed performance expectations

Utilize cross-selling and relationship-building strategies to recommend FAIRWINDS products and services tailored to member needs

Serve as the primary custodian of credit union assets, perform internal control procedures, and assist with or serve as ATM custodian

Support members with account inquiries, service needs, and transaction assistance

Process teller transactions, maintain a cash drawer, and provide services including money orders, official checks, savings bonds, and safe deposit boxes
