Job summary

Fairwinds Credit Union in Clermont, FL is seeking a Financial Freedom Coach to help members take meaningful steps toward financial freedom. This role blends teller basics with proactive coaching to improve savings, credit, home purchases, debt reduction, and long-term planning.

You will combine traditional banking expertise with a consultative approach, educating and empowering members while building lasting relationships. Career growth and coaching certifications are available.

Make an Impact as a Financial Freedom Coach

This role is more than just opening accounts or processing transactions; you will be helping members take meaningful steps toward financial freedom. Whether someone is building savings, improving their credit, purchasing a home, paying off debt, or planning for the future, you'll play an important role in helping them achieve their goals.

You'll combine traditional banking expertise with a consultative approach focused on education, empowerment, and long-term relationships. By understanding each member's unique situation, you will help uncover opportunities, provide guidance, and deliver solutions that move them closer to financial freedom.

As part of your development journey, you'll have opportunities to:

• Receive Financial Freedom Coach training and certification
• Learn milestone-based financial coaching techniques
• Develop expertise in budgeting, savings, debt reduction, and financial wellness
• Strengthen advisory skills while making a meaningful impact on members' lives

Your Role in Our Mission

• Serve as the go-to resource for members by handling all teller and platform transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Open new accounts and recommend relevant products and services based on members' unique financial needs and goals.
• Build trust and deepen relationships through consultative conversations that support members on their journey to Financial Freedom.
• Recommend deposit accounts, loans, investment and insurance products, and digital banking tools that align with members' financial goals and circumstances.
• Help members identify lending solutions that support important life milestones through inbound, outbound, and referral-based conversations.
• Deliver prompt support for service-related needs such as account maintenance and problem resolution.
• Promote and educate members on self-service tools including online banking, mobile apps, and ATMs.
• Serve as a keyholder when needed and support operational procedures including branch opening/closing and negotiable item custody.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and security protocols while supporting the branch team in achieving goals.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Demonstrated success in a member-facing role.
• Previous banking experience required.
• Previous lending experience in a financial institution required.
• Passion for helping people improve their financial well-being and achieve meaningful financial goals.
• You lead with care and know how to listen and respond to members' needs.
• Comfortable navigating both transactional and consultative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident initiating financial conversations, uncovering member goals, educating members on available solutions, and making thoughtful recommendations that support long-term financial wellness.
• Proven track record of achieving individual and/or branch goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to adapt quickly and take initiative to serve where you're most needed.
