Job summary

At FAIRWINDS Credit Union, the Assistant Branch Manager at our Mt. Dora branch leads a coaching-focused team to meet service, lending, and product goals while delivering a comprehensive member experience.

You will oversee loan processing, account openings, and guiding members on FAIRWINDS products, with emphasis on cross-selling, relationship-building, and staff development under the Branch Manager's guidance.

• A natural coach and mentor; you enjoy developing others, giving feedback, and creating an environment where people thrive.
• Strong knowledge of FAIRWINDS products, services, systems, and lending procedures, with confidence in presenting and recommending solutions.
• Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making; handles escalated member concerns professionally.
• Proven success in sales, service, and relationship-building; comfortable coaching others to do the same.
• Highly organized, goal-oriented, and driven by results and team success.
• Able to collaborate with leadership on strategies and long-term branch planning.
• Ready to take on a greater leadership role as right-hand to Branch Manager.

Your Role in Our Mission:

Foster a positive, coaching-focused environment to develop your team and ensure service, lending, and product penetration goals (such as membership and services per household) are consistently met.

Serve as a loan officer and interviewer, processing applications and disbursing funds while educating members on lending solutions tailored to their needs.

Open new accounts and provide guidance on FAIRWINDS products and services to both new and existing members, ensuring a comprehensive, one-stop experience.

Support team members in delivering effective cross-selling and relationship-building strategies that increase member engagement and deepen financial partnerships.

Address member concerns with professionalism and care, resolving issues quickly while protecting the member relationship.

Assist in strategic branch planning, including the development of business lending strategies and initiatives to grow member relationships.

Lead or support key operational areas of the branch, including staffing, hiring, scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations.

Collaborate with the Branch Manager to meet or exceed branch performance goals and uphold all compliance and operational standards.
