Job summary

Anterior is building an AI-powered platform to transform healthcare administration. Technical Staff will own problems end-to-end, from system design through production, across backend, infra, and frontend.

You'll work on data pipelines, scalable services, and SDKs while collaborating with customers to translate real-world workflows into product specs and architecture decisions. This role offers growth and leadership opportunities in a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

Backend design and API development experience.
Experience across the full technology stack, from infra to frontend.
Familiarity with evaluating and improving LLM-powered systems.

Responsibilities

Designing and building backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI platform
Working across the stack—from infrastructure to frontend—to ship complete solutions
Writing evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in our LLM-powered systems
Analyzing request logs, debugging event streams, and improving system reliability
Building internal tooling to automate workflows and increase team leverage
Working directly with customers to understand real-world healthcare workflows, scope integrations, and translate requirements into product specs
Contributing to Anterior's SDKs, developer documentation, and platform architecture

You have battle scars from over‑engineered and underperforming slop, and you care about writing code that lasts.

About The Role

Members of Technical Staff at Anterior own problems end-to-end — from system design through to production. You'll work across the stack (with a backend lean), building the core platform that powers clinical decisioning at scale. A day's work may include:

Tech

Langs: Python / Go / TS, React (and HTMX if you can help!)
Infra: Nix, AWS (currently on CDKTF — actively looking to migrate, bonus points if you've done this before)
