Job summary

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking Service Navigators to provide an exceptional in-person member experience at Engagement Centers. You will assess needs, educate on benefit plans, and connect members to CareFirst programs and community resources throughout the healthcare journey.

Candidates must be able to work weekends, travel within the service region, and lift up to 20 pounds. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with a strong emphasis on customer service and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• 3 years related experience required.
• Fluent bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional in-person member experience by welcoming members and guiding them through the healthcare journey.
• Investigate and resolve complex member service issues including claims, eligibility, billing, and benefits.
• Educate members on CareFirst products, programs, benefits, and self-service options.
• Identify and address member health and social needs by connecting them with appropriate CareFirst programs and community services.
• Support operations by coordinating center programming, wellness activities, and outreach opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement by documenting processes, prioritizing workflow, and collaborating with internal partners.
