Job summary

Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union is seeking a Collections Specialist to be the primary partner in members' financial journey, delivering high-quality service to both internal and external members and recommending suitable solutions.

In this role, you will monitor payments, contact delinquent accounts, and coordinate with trustees and lenders while maintaining accurate records and complying with REG CC, BSA, and Reg Z.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of collections/related experience.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent certification/licensing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payments for late/delinquency status and follow up on delinquent accounts by phone and/or letter.
• Contact first payment default and Key Start accounts daily to determine reasons for delinquency and develop plans to bring accounts current.
• Perform collection activities including securing credit reports, skip tracing, CPI processing, repossession data, and GAP claims; prepare documentation for TDRs/modifications.
• File all claims, attend hearings, and coordinate with trustees for bankruptcy filings; testify as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
