Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Personal Banker I to deliver outstanding member service and support across teller duties, while building relationships and promoting banking products. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and cross-selling to meet branch goals.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of customer service, with a notary license expected within 3 months. Evening and weekend hours may be required, with community engagement opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, banking preferred.
• Notary license must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to current and prospective members and resolve inquiries promptly.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and member acquisition.
• Process teller transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, check verifications).
• Manage cash drawers, reconcile balances, and handle cash/coin requests.
• Update personal information, signers, beneficiaries, and stop payments on accounts.
• Assist with Debit/ATM card servicing, wire transfers, and checkbook orders.
• Support member onboarding and digital banking services access.
