Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Personal Banker II to deliver exceptional service, educate members on products, and drive cross-sell opportunities across retail banking. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong relationship-building to meet loan and service goals.

Responsibilities include onboarding new members, processing transactions, and supporting both branch and digital channels, with travel to branches as needed and a focus on compliance with lending and regulatory

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a banking environment.
• Notary License required or to be obtained within three months of hire.
• NMLS-ID (Mortgage Loan Originator) required and will be provided at time of hire if not already acquired.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to current and prospective members.
• Educate members on Credit Union products, services, and benefits while identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Resolve member requests, complaints, and issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Build and deepen relationships with members, generating referral opportunities.
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions while maintaining member confidentiality.
• Perform member research and outreach for sales and service purposes, ensuring follow-up for a positive experience.
• Complete new member onboarding and assist with account maintenance and fraud claims.
• Handle daily Personal Banker tasks, including wire transfers, account changes, and check processing.
• Support inbound call centers, digital banking services, and travel to branches as needed.
• Meet or exceed monthly loan goals ethically and in compliance with Credit Union policies and regulations.
