Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union in New York seeks a Personal Banker I (Teller) to deliver outstanding member service, manage teller duties, and build relationships through cross-selling of banking products.

You will process transactions, maintain cash drawers, support digital banking, and assist with onboarding while collaborating with branches. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of banking service are required, with a notary license due within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in banking.
• Notary license to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to current and prospective members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and member acquisition.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions accurately.
• Manage cash drawers, reconcile balances, and handle cash/coin requests.
• Update personal information, signers, beneficiaries, and stop payment requests.
• Assist with Debit/ATM card servicing, wire transfers, and checkbook orders.
• Support member onboarding and digital banking access.
• Assist Contact Center during high-volume periods.
• Participate in community events and business development efforts.
