Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Personal Banker II to build relationships with members and drive cross-sales across retail banking. You will support transactions, onboarding, fraud claims, and referrals to loan and wealth services.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, 2 years of customer service in banking, and a notary license or plan to obtain one within 3 months. Some travel to branches may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of customer service experience, preferably in banking.
• Notary License required or to be obtained within three months of hire.
• Mortgage Loan Originator (NMLS-ID) required and will be provided at time of hire if not already acquired.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to current and prospective members.
• Educate members on products and benefits while identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Resolve member requests, complaints, and issues promptly.
• Build and deepen member relationships and generate referrals.
• Process transactions accurately while protecting member confidentiality.
• Perform member outreach for sales and service purposes and follow up for a positive experience.
• Complete new member onboarding and assist with account maintenance and fraud claims.
• Handle daily Personal Banker tasks including wire transfers, account changes, and check processing.
• Support inbound call centers, digital banking, and travel to branches as needed.
• Meet or exceed monthly loan goals in compliance with policies and regulations.
