Job summary

Coosa Valley Credit Union in West Cartersville is seeking a Member Specialist to provide exceptional member service, handle transactions, and help members reach their financial goals.

You will learn credit union products, open accounts, and identify opportunities to refer services while complying with BSA/OFAC policies and protecting member confidentiality. This role involves light travel and ongoing training to stay current with credit union procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in banking preferred.
• Experience in cash handling preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to interact professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Light travel to other branches may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent member service in-branch, via email, chat, and phone.
• Processes transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Familiarizes self with credit union products and services.
• Identifies opportunities to refer products and services.
• Adheres to BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg P policies.
• Processes new accounts and other member requests.
• Ensures accurate cash handling while following security procedures.
• Reads and applies credit union policies and procedures.
• Identifies members using security procedures.
• Participates in training and cross-training to stay current.
