Job summary

Excel Fitness in Knightdale, NC seeks a reliable team member to help keep the club clean, safe, and welcoming. You will assist members, operate the front desk, and support promotions and daily operations.

The role requires CPR/AED certification, strong communication, and the ability to stand for long periods. Training is provided, and you’ll work within a friendly gym environment aligned with Excel Fitness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification and AED Certification are required before working alone; training provided within 30 days if not certified.
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Team-oriented, motivated and well-organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer use.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, and Planet Fitness brand and operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform to your best abilities during your assigned shift.
• Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Stay proficient in Planet Fitness mobile app use, content, and updates.
• Ensure that all proper training has been completed to operate safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the club is presentable and up to Excel standards.
• Input and update member information into tablets and POS.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
• Communicate with members and provide high level of member service.
• Assist GM and AM with member promotions and operations.
