Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and AED Certification required before working alone; training within 30 days.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Team-oriented, motivated and well-organized.
• Ability to think critically and proactively solve problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and using a computer.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission/values and Planet Fitness brand and ops.

Responsibilities

• Perform to your best during your assigned work shift.
• Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Stay proficient in Planet Fitness app use and updates.
• Ensure training is complete to operate safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular audits to keep the club presentable.
• Walk around the club, complete tasks, and re-inspect.
• Audit and balance cash drawers daily.
• Input and update member info into tablets and POS.
• Ensure members follow policies and address infractions.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
• Communicate with members and deliver high-level service.
• Stock retail and janitorial items for the shift.
• Adhere to company standards and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Audit inventory and advise GM/AM/Shift Lead on orders.
• Stay current on required certifications and training.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Promote, tour, and assist prospects and potential members.
• Assist GM/AM with membership promotions and training.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal laws and insurance requirements.
• Assist members with equipment use (tanning, HydroMassage, etc.).
• Represent the company at community events and outreach.
