Job summary

Excel Fitness in Texas (Killeen) seeks a Team Player to help maintain a clean, safe club environment and deliver high-quality member service. You will assist with member relations, inventory, POS operations, and promotions while upholding brand standards.

The role requires adaptability to full-time or part-time hours and compliance with all laws and company policies. As part of daily duties, you will balance cash drawers, perform audits, and stay current on certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• CPR Certification and AED Certification are required before working alone; training can be completed within 30 days for uncertified applicants.
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Must be team-oriented, motivated and well-organized.
• Ability to think critically and proactively evaluate solutions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and using a computer.
• Must handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, vision, culture, and Planet Fitness brand and operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties during assigned shift to the best of your ability.
• Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Stay proficient in Planet Fitness app use, content and updates.
• Ensure training is completed to operate safely and efficiently.
• Conduct audits to keep the club presentable and up to Excel standards.
• Complete club walkarounds and related cleaning tasks and re-inspections.
• Balance cash drawers daily.
• Input and update member information into tablets and POS.
• Ensure members follow policies and guidelines and address infractions.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
• Communicate with members and deliver high level member service.
• Stock retail and janitorial items for the next shift.
• Adhere to company standards and resolve day-to-day member issues.
• Audit inventory and communicate with GM/AM/Lead on orders.
• Stay up to date on required certifications and training courses.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Communicate with, promote, tour, and assist prospects and potential members.
• Assist the GM and AM with member promotions, training, and implementation of operational strategies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and insurance requirements.
• Operate and assist members with equipment, tanning, HydroMassage, TBE and other amenities while following procedures.
• Assist GM and represent Excel Fitness at community events.
